The Roger Waters 2012 Wall tour (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2012-wall-tour/index.php) has been thrilling audiences in each city it has stopped in so far, and it is clear the show is getting ever better as it carries on its travels. Word of mouth has ensured ticket sales have remained correspondingly high, and thus for a number of venues it has been hard for some to secure tickets.
In my many years with Brain Damage (since the mid-80s) one of the biggest things that has made it a pleasure to devote my spare time to, has been you - those who visit, read, participate and help. It's made a huge difference, and I've made many great friends over the years. The generosity of spirit at times has been overwhelming, and another example has just come along. Someone in the US (you know who you are) has very kindly donated a pair of tickets to see Roger in Indianapolis, on June 11th, 2012 specifically to help towards the running costs of Brain Damage.
The seats are situated in section 213, row 16, of the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and we (the benefactor, and us) thought the best way to allocate the tickets to a BD visitor who wants these is to invite offers via email, between now and 2pm GMT Monday, May 28th, with the highest bidder getting the tickets (once payment via Paypal has cleared). Tickets will be sent certified mail and will require a signature for delivery.

Music retailer HMV is running a special online poll at apps.facebook.com/hmvjubilee (http://apps.facebook.com/hmvjubilee) which concludes today to find the best British album from the last 60 years to celebrate the Jubilee and the Olympic summer with Pink Floyd obviously being among the artists. In the poll you are presented with a shortlist - of which Floyd have been allocated two spaces, for The Dark Side Of The Moon, and Wish You Were Here - and you can select up to five of these. There's a separate poll for British films, too.
Whilst it would be good for as many as possible to vote Floyd to ensure some of the lesser entries don't win, there's also an incentive to entry: there's a prize to be given away to participants of all sixty albums (or all sixty films) to be won, as well!
The poll is open to all registered Facebook users, and with the voting closing today, you'll need to be quick...

The Roger Waters tour of The Wall in 2012 (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2012-wall-tour/index.php) has - this afternoon - been extended by one additional show, which at time of writing, concludes the tour, one week after the Washington DC concert which was to wrap things up.
The concert, on July 21st, 2012, will take place at les Plaines d'Abraham in Quebec City (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2012-wall-tour/july-21st-les-plaines-dabraham-quebec-city-quebec-c.html). The Canadian venue is a historic area within The Battlefields Park that was originally grazing land, but became famous as the site of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, which took place on 13 September 1759. The park is today used by 4 million visitors and tourists annually for sports, relaxation, outdoor concerts, and festivals. It is no stranger to concerts. Between 2008 to 2011, a series of concerts took place in the park, including performances by Van Halen, Sir Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Rammstein, Sir Elton John and Metallica. Later this year, Madonna also appears in the park for a sell-out show.
The RogerWaters.com (http://www.rogerwaters.com/)
presales begin next week, with a limited number of advance tickets available to those who have registered their interest in this particular city. General sale tickets will go on sale shortly after through Ticketmaster.ca (http://www.ticketmaster.ca) and other normal agents (exact dates and outlets can be found via Roger's website). The public sale will also see a limited number of VIP packages made available for each show on the tour.
